The Lumbar Hybrid Procedure for the Treatment of Multilevel Symptomatic Degenerative Disc Disease
This pivotal study evaluates the clinical and patient reported outcomes of 617 participants across 14 years.
Assoc Prof Matthew Scott-Young and our partners at Bond University are proud to announce that Gold Coast Spine’s first mid-term outcome paper has been published in Spine, which is recognised internationally as the leading journal in its field. This pivotal study evaluates the clinical and patient reported outcomes of 617 participants across 14 years.
The results show that improvements in both back and leg pain and function can be achieved with the lumbar hybrid technique, when total disc replacement and anterior lumbar interbody fusion are combined to treat multi-level spinal disease.
This open access paper may be accessed here.
Thank you to our study participants, we know you have been waiting patiently for this paper!
