Clinical outcomes following single-level lumbar total disc replacement

Clinical and Radiological Mid-Term Outcomes of Lumbar Single-Level Total Disc Replacement

Assoc Prof Matthew Scott-Young and his partners at Bond published mid-term clinical outcomes following one level lumbar total disc replacement.

The paper presents results for a cohort of 122 patients, up to 10 years post-operatively.

The results verify the clinical efficacy of total disc replacement for treatment of discogenic back pain, with statistically significant improvements from three months post-operatively, onward.
